Hi all, I am a 65 year old disabled hunter that hunts alone. I have two artificial knees and degenerative arthritis of the spine. I also have an infection in my right leg below the knee that I am getting treatments for at the hospital 5 days a week. I have been disabled since 1991 but will not let my condition keep me from hunting and fishing. I have always hunted on my own and use a kane to get to where I set up away from my ATV. I have killed a turkey and a deer every year for the last 9 years. I can only walk about 50 yards before I have to stop and rest but I make do. I wish all you who are disabled the best of luck and have a great year. Good luck and God Bless. Norm

I admire your efforts.I am a member of the Wheelin Sportsmen, and go on 2 of their hunts every year. It's amazing the determination and desire some of those guys and gals have.Being older myself,I know for a fact you don't have to be some macho jock to harvest game.Sometimes a handicap will give you that extra edge you need, like using your brain instead of your power.I hunt slow and methodical, can't do a 3rd of what I could 10 years ago,but I am stupid like a fox.Thats how ya get those paintbrushes. #45986980#

Keep up that spirit Norm. The outdoors cant always heal the body but it surely does heal the soul.
