2 coons were caught on a cornfield and given to us today. We turned them loose for the young dogs. I think Lady has forgotten all she knew. She went stupid with em in the cage then couldnt care less about em after we set it out. I think I have a cagedog instead of a coondog....

when I had my coon dogs, I would put a coller and chain on my coons.that way you could use them over and over. the pups could fight them and really get the fever.
I would walk them down in the swamp and then put them up a tree where the pups could almost reach them. worked relly good for me.just an idea.

We have done that, but didnt have time to mess with these. I had to come home and get Lady after we picked the coons up. They put a collar on one while I was at work last night. And we fixed Jamie's rabbit pen so we can put a coon or 2 in it.

Me and Jamie let one with a collar loose today. We let her tree it some with the collar on then took the collar off and let it loose. She trailed it, but never tree'd it. She does better by herself it seems.
